Industry Association Warns That New Legislation Will Impact Drug Availability

BMI View: The content and process of new legislation relating to drug and healthcare reforms in Slovakia has been strongly criticised by a leading local pharmaceutical association. However, despite the association's highly vocal criticism, we maintain our previously held view that local industry groups will not be able to achieve significant policy revisions. We expect the current proposals to be adopted without further major amendments. BMI maintains the view that Slovakia's pharmaceutical market is set for an extended period of low growth and lower prices.
