The prevalence of the neurobehavioral development disorder is slightly below the global average, but diagnosis rates are above, and improving. Due to the region's relative economic development, treatment options are more likely to be explored here than in Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe or Africa. However, because of widespread socio-cultural resistance to the acceptance of neurological deficits in Asia, the potential market for ADHD prescription drugs will be lower than expected.
